The Fundamentals of Wine (FWC) is a one-day professional training course designed for the hospitality industry. The program consists of 8 clock hours of structured instruction and provides essential wine knowledge applicable to real service environments.
FWC delivers a practical introduction to commercially relevant grape varieties and focuses on how wines are understood, presented, and sold within restaurant and hotel operations.

The course is currently offered to large groups in South America, the Middle East, Asia, and selected locations in North America, and may be delivered in additional locations upon request.
FWC is not available to individual participants and is not a prerequisite for ISG’s professional certification pathway.
For individuals seeking formal certification beyond foundational training, ISG’s professional education pathway begins with the Intermediate Wine Certificate (IWC).
