  A: Yes. Online students have 2 ISG sommelier instructors available at all times—one for curriculum questions and one for tasting submissions. With AWC there is a third instructor for essay development; at the ISGM Sommelier, 6 instructors are available, while the ISGM Sommelier Degree has a dissertation advisor. You can communicate with your specific instructors in various ways.
• Q: Can I take the IWC online and then take the AWC in the classroom?
  A: Yes. Once you pass IWC, you will have the ability to take AWC online or in the classroom.
• Q: How does the online learning differ from the classroom training?
  A: The training is identical. Both modalities utilize the same textbooks, videos (with audio lectures and PowerPoints), identical quizzes, and final examinations conducted online.
• Q: Do students receive the same certification with online learning?
  A: Yes. You will receive the exact same certificate as you would in the classroom, along with your appropriate lapel pin, transcripts, and all related correspondences.
• Q: How do you grade tasting sheets?
  A: Students are given the ISG proprietary tasting sheets, which they submit to their instructors via email for grading. Note that IWC and AWC tasting sheets differ from those used in the ISGM Sommelier program.
• Q: Can an AWC graduate select the delivery system for ISGM Sommelier and ISGM Sommelier Degree?
  A: Yes. Students who completed AWC online may switch to an in‑class delivery, and an in‑class AWC student may switch to an online ISGM delivery.
• Q: Can I print the textbook?
  A: Yes. The textbook is yours to keep and print as you see fit, available in multiple formats. However, it is copyrighted in all languages and cannot be distributed to third parties.

  A: No. This is “at your own pace” training with no time limits.
